Newark Wire Cloth Company

Achieving NIST SP 800-171 Compliance with SysArc's DFARS Compliance Solution.

Problem

Newark Wire Cloth Company is a small manufacturer that specializes in wire cloth filters based in Newark, New Jersey. They weave these filters in order to provide vital tools in the aerospace industry and military aviation. NWC’s prime contractor required them to become compliant to continue being a supplier due to the DFARS regulation and its flow-down clause.

Solution

Being mindfu of their size, NWC needed to find a low-cost and effective solution in order to become compliant to continue business with their prime contractor. Sysarc was able to deliver an efficient pathway towards compliance. That path included an initial Assessment, System Security Plan (SSP), and a Plan of Action & Milestones (POAM). Additionally, Sysarc was able to provide an ongoing cybersecurity monitoring and incident response service, security awareness training, dual factor authentications, and regular vulnerability scans at a very affordable cost.

Result

In order to continue operating and collaborate with NWC’s prime contractor, Sysarc was able to achieve solving the obstacle that complicated their work. Our company was able to not only provide the right pathway for NWC to become compliant with the DFARS regulations, but also provide it at an affordable cost. At the end of the day, Sysarc was able to help NWC become fully compliant with the DFARS 7012/NIST 800-171 requirements and was able to further foster their business in the aerospace industry as a trusted and secure supplier.
